Blood Mania

Blood Mania. With a name like that its gotta be crazy bloody and gory! Couple that with the IMDb description: "A sex-crazed nympho helps speed along her father's death so she can use the inheritance to help out her depraved boyfriend." and it sounds like a '70s grindhouse romp full of gore, boobs, blood, and sex! Is that the case? No.



Victoria is a horny, couped up young woman. I wouldn't call her a nympho, in fact in the movie she tries to seduce the pool boy and only has sex with one person. But anyway, Victoria wants her fathers doctor. A man tries to blackmail him by threatening to tell the DA about the abortions he did while in med school, asking for $50,000.00 in two weeks. He doesn't know where to get it, but when Victoria finds out she promises him she'll get it. As long as he will be hers.

Her plan? Kill her father, the doctors patient and owner of the clinic he works for. How? Well, daddies sick. Heart condition. When the doctor mentions to Victoria that amyl nitrates can kill a man with a weak heart, she finds her method. She sneaks into his room at night, breaks one open underneath his nose. And once he dies.... walks over to a mirror, bears her breasts and fondles them. Weird, I know.

That's probably the most entertaining aspect of the movie. Lots and lots of random nudity. But then again, that's pretty much the only thing this movie does... besides ooze '70s. We find out that Victoria is not inheriting her fathers wealth, but her little sister Gale is. Gale hasn't been in touch for the last seven years, so you can imagine how Victoria takes the news since she cared for her father all this time. She reacts by literally bawling like a baby and throwing a tantrum at the will reading. Not the excusable upset yelling about shit kind of fit, but the wailing just to get attention kind of fit. Its horrid and makes me want to punch kittens.

So Doc tries to seduce Gale, makes Victoria jealous, Victoria kills Gale, end of movie. Really. There are two deaths in this movie titled "Blood Mania" and only one of them involves any blood.

So if you want to see some '70s boobies and be a little bored, give it a watch.
